Bands

When some think of groups they think of an adjective to describe people together. Not necessarily like minded though.

In this case, GROUPS are those special collections of people in and around Derby during the 60s who made music and gave enjoyment to many.

Bands like The Jetts, with Kenny Barker, probably one of the first in the town and who featured a tea-chest bass when they started up. Here they are at one of their VERY early gigs Image:Jets Picture3HCParty.jpg

Then I could mention The Heralds Image:Heralds at Locarno.jpg

The VibronsImage:The Vibrons.jpg The SapphiresImage:Roychantelleandthesapphires web.jpg

The ImpsImage:The Imps0052 web.jpg The RapidsImage:A THE RAPIDS 1962 web.jpg

I could go on ..... and ..... some of these groups are "still playing live!!"

But you can find everything about Derby's Groups of the 60s by going to their website via this link: [1]
